Searcy Housing Authority announces the upcoming opening of the HCV Section 8 waiting list. The waiting list will be limited to the first 500 applicants.
When applying, please have the following documents ready to scan and upload to the portal:
1. Birth certificates for all household members
2. Social Security cards for all household members
3. Photo IDs for all household members aged 18 or older
4. Proof of income for all household members
If you do not upload these documents, we will not be able to process your application.

Searcy Housing Authority and McRae Housing Authority activated a purge to the waiting lists on APRIL 24, 2026 with a deadline of MAY 10, 2026.
If you are currently on the PUBLIC HOUSING or SECTION 8 waiting list you MUST go online to your Rent Cafe portal and complete the SAVE MY SPOT by the deadline date of MAY 10, 2026. If you do not do this, you will be removed from the waiting list and at the current time all waiting lists are closed.
We will not accept paper submissions. You MUST go online and do SAVE MY SPOT in order to remain on the wating list.
